Kozy Villas Seminyak Reviews
Super kozy! Aug 08, 2011
The Kozy Villas were just that...cozy villas in Kuta's more up-market suburb of Seminyak. There are about seven villas in this property, each divided with a high privacy wall but available to connect all seven (or any combination of that) with internal doors into the villas' gardens. Each villa is a two-storey bungalow with a large bedroom on each floor and an almost equally large bathroom. The bathtub can easily fit three adults in it (no, I did not try though). If you only need one bedroom, the upstairs bedroom will be locked up...and they will charge a lower rate.
Each villa has a kitchen/dining area in a room with only two walls, allowing nice breezes to blow through. At night there were a few mosquitoes in the dining area (not too many though), so bring some repellent. The dining area and downstairs bedroom both overlook the villa's private pool. It's not Olympic size...but it's not a plunge pool either. So you could do a lot of laps and feel good about yourself! The gardens are very nice and well-manicured. It was quite relaxing reading a book on the poolside deck chairs in the day. The only complaint I had with the villa was that the pool was almost too cold to swim in. There are too many shade trees and shadows from the villa itself to allow the sun to heat it up.
Each morning, breakfast is served in your own dining room. You order your breakfast the night before and set a time for them to come and serve it to you. They will give a courtesy wake-up call (so you can let them in!). Breakfast is simple and would get repetitive if you stayed here for a long time. You get a few standard choices (Indonesian/American/Continental), tea/coffee, and a fruit juice. Oh, they also serve you a welcome drink upon arrival in your villa.
Now that I've made it sound so good, I should point out that it is not on the beach, nor is it even near the beach. I am a hefty walker...I walk everywhere. And while it is walkable from the villa to Seminyak Beach, it would be easier to get a taxi, ojek, or other transport. It probably takes about 30-45 minutes to walk there. But...it is walking through the town with all of its shops and restaurants. From the villa to the town center takes about 10-15 minutes to walk...but even that span is lined with shops, spas, and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again!
