Koprivshtitsa...somewhere unlikely to be on a person's itinerary, but definitely worth a visit, if only for one day. Amazing 'house museums' to visit which show a bit of Bulgarian traditions and history. Beautiful views. Only trouble is getting there! Accommodation can be a bit difficult - not a place to go if you're on a VERY tight budget (bad experience had by myself!)

It's been preserved in the National Renewal style, and at first, we thought it would look too artificial, but actually it did not. Most houses are now hotels, shops or restaurants, but the town is worth to visit, as they all look authentic in this beautiful style.
