'Kopi' is a Malay's word mean coffee, while 'Tiem' is a Chinese word (I believe that it is not Mandarin) mean shop. So 'Kopi Tiem' is actually mean coffee shop. It is not only reflect the muti-cultural of Singapore but also diversity and respect between culture in Singapore.
Well, much like a typical food court there are several vendor in 'Kopi Tiem' ranging from 'Chinese roast duck, roast pork, noodle, Thai food, etc. There is a counter there but they do not sell coupon. We can buy the food cash from each vendor and the food there is reasonably clean and yummy. It is a budget food with taste that you can find in Singapore.
