Konigswinter Vacation Guide
Königswinter is a town and summer resort in the Rhein-Sieg district, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is situated on the right bank of the Rhine at the foot of the Siebengebirge.
As you climb the mountain 500 meters up-hill, there is the Drachenberg Castle on the right-hand side.
It is where the ancient ruin of the Drachenfels is, thr lair of a dragon where the hero Siegfried killed in the saga Ring of Nebelung. There is a restaurant below the ruins and they serve good Kolsch.
