Konaki London Reviews
A hidden gem. Apr 23, 2012
I stumbled upon the Konaki restaurant purely by chance and what good luck. It is a typical Greek Taverna, with seating in an open hall at the front end of the restaurant and in a narrow corridor at the rear end of the restaurant - I sat at the rear end because that is where the smaller tables are and it always helps in people & food watching. The food is unpretentious and very tasty. Expect the entire range of Greek salads & appetizers and a rather large option in the mains including the catch of the day. The portions are generous and the atmosphere is one of a place where people really enjoy their food. Round off your meal with baklava and some excellent coffee. Konaki is tucked away a short walk from the Tottenham Court Road tube station or the British Museum and a must try!

Konaki Dec 02, 2010
Konaki is a Greek restaurant close to the British Museum in Bloomsbury.
Decorated cosily, with great service, it is a nice place to eat even if you are
on your own. The food is excellent and there is nice wine; several people there
seemed to be repeat customers and that’s always a good sign. I had some lamb
stew which melted off the bone, and loved it.
Typically for this part of London, the toilets are down the narrow stairs. I’m
afraid I can’t remember what it cost, but about average for London.
