After a long days drive leaving Albanian dust roads and the serpentine roads of Montenegro and southern Croatia we entered the wonderful two lane freeway just south of Split and finally had a chance to make some distance.

We drove until 1.30 am and started to look for a hotel. Since the motorway is architected in the mountains we had to leave for the coast to find the hotel. We took the first we could find.

Kolovare Hotel was a good 4 star hotel just at the coast. We got a nice room with the best king size bed we had on the whole Balkan trip. The bathroom was big and had a tub; which we hadn't seen for weeks down here, it was always showers.

It was a fairly large hotel and we had gotten a room over viewing to pool area.

All in all, a nice 4 star hotel. Highly prices but also very well situated
