Koln, Germany Reviews
May 18, 2005
One of the first stops our tour made after leaving Amsterdam was Cologne, Germany, which is the 4th largest city in Germany with nearly a million population. This city is the economic and cultural capital of the Rhineland and is most famous for the magnificent Gothic Cathedral (Kolner Dom) whose twin spires stand well over 520 feet tall, is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Cologne. The town has thirty museums and many, many art galleries, but we only had a short period to take in the Cathedral and eat lunch before we were back on the bus and gone again. I would like to have spent much more time in the great city.
