Kokokan's Bird Ubud Reviews
Kokokan's Bird Dec 08, 2010
Well at Village Petulu, Ubud around 10 minutes drive from central Ubud, there is a set of these cranes. Stork or Ibis or his Balinese language KOKOKAN live peacefully in the trees in the village unmolested Petulu slightest.
I first knew of this location approximately in 2001, when accidentally get lost to find a way to Ubud. At that time I was surprised to find that still a lot of his rice field village is inhabited by hundreds of birds kokokan. A lot. Ubud ricefields along the fitting yesterday, I go back through the village. Well ... I was already a lot of changes. Rice paddies along the way who was the village has now become the people's houses and barn wood cutting. Many fields. it's just that that has not changed, still a lot of birds kokokan. I stop and take pictures. Talking with people all around to know the story kokokan presence in this Petulu.
If you wanna see this birds, you should to go there maybe in 2pm until 5pm, after 5 o'clock the birds go into its respective place. all the residents still do not know where it came from birds.
Birds that are on the village Kokokan Petulu has a white body color with a brown back and face. They live dipohon existing trees along the road until the next village Pura Desa Adat Petulu. If you visit, do not forget to put some little money as a donation to the village in the appropriate boxes in the Post Babysitting end of the village. We will be very fortunate if during play to see kokokan Petulu who is black. According to villagers, there were only two birds, and they are the leader of thousands kokokan in Petulu. when we see it they think its a sign of good luck...
Unfortunately, last year when i came back to the village at 2pm untill 4pm, and I miss the birds gather and cover the rice population.
