Koh Lipe Vacation Guide
Koh Lipe is a small Island in Tarutau National Park in southern Thailand. It is inhabited by about 500 Chau Ley (Sea Gypsies) and has a rapidly growing tourism industry. Currently there are about 25 bungalow style operations 15 or so restaurants and 3 dive shops on the 4 beaches of the island. There is Sunrise Beach to the east, Sunset Beach to the west Karma Beach facing Koh Adang and Pattaya Beach to the south. Pattaya beach has the majority of the services.
You can reach the island by a ferry from Pak Bara, Langkawi, Malaysia or a ferry that runs from Krabi to Langkawi. There are also several speedboat operations that can get you here. (contact www.dangdeetour.com)
