Koh Kong is along the Cambodian coast just 10 kilometers from the Thai border. Roads lead to Phnom Penh or Sihanoukville and daily boat service (4 hours) also goes to Sihanoukville.
Koh Kong has primarily been a transit town but is slowly becoming a destination in itself. The largely unexplored area offers remote coastal and island beach hopping. The nearby jungle-covered Cardamom Mountain range provides unspoiled wilderness and several accessible waterfalls. With the growing popularity of Cambodia, this small border town will have a bright future.
