Koh Haa - Dive Site Koh Lanta Reviews
Great diving & snorkeling near Koh Lanta Jul 20, 2011
Koh Haa is a group of five islands in a marine park southwest of Koh Lanta. It provides some stunning views both above and below the water. There are huge amounts of reef fish and corals that make it a perfect spot for both diving and snorkeling.
"The Lagoon" is a shallow area surrounded by three of the islands and is perfect for beginning divers and snorkelers alike. There is even a small white sand beach on one of the islands that border "The Lagoon."
"The Cathedral" and "The Chimney" are two of the many dive sites on the other islands and have caves, caverns and swim-throughs of varying difficulties to be enjoyed by novice divers as well as the more experienced divers.
Aquatic life that you can see includes; morays, lionfish, barracuda, seahorses, harlequin shrimp, blacktip reef sharks, turtles, pufferfish, octopus, batfish, squid & much more...
To get there contact one of the many dive operators on Koh Lanta who can arrange dive trips, discover scuba dives, snorkeling trips & diving certification courses. Average prices for dive trip with 2 dives and equipment - 3600 baht, and snorkeling trips - 1500 baht.
In the high season (Nov-Apr) trips go daily and in the "green" season (May-Oct) trips go most days but are more weather dependent.
