Location was great! And that's pretty much it... Aug 24, 2014
From the outside it looks like a cozy hotel, and the location is absolutely excellent. Walk down the street and you're in the centre of Bruges, a lot of sights are close-by. Couldn't be better. And breakfast is good. Not extensive, but enough choice for everyone. Bread, different spreads, eggs, cereal, coffee, tea, juices.

The room however...well it wasn't *that* bad, but i expected better for what i paid...

We had a 2 person room in Block C. Do Not Ever Do That, if you have the chance choose to stay at the hotel, not the annex and hope it's better. The room was clean, that's the good point. But it's old. The toilet was low. The shower was so small you could barely turn, and the water didn't go down the drain fast enough. At night we couldn't really sleep with the window open because of the noise outside (The Pub, a cafe a few metres away/below the window) And i don't mean like 10 pm but 2.30 am noisy. And since it was a small room, it was warm and closing the window wasn't really an option.

So if you're looking for a good location and don't care about anything else, this is a great place to stay.

I don't think i'll ever go back there.

Nice service and breakfast Feb 28, 2012
I think this was a great hotel. It is in the middle of the city and it has a good price for what it gives you. In most rooms there is a small kitchen with micro waver, stove, kettle, refrigerator and cutery etc. There is a table with chears, good beds, closet and a TV. In this hotel you have free WiFi. When you go outside of the hotel, there is a bike rental service. They also have a tea room and restaurant.

The breakfast room is really great. They have enough to choose. They have cornflakes, bread, eggs, diffent kinds of spreads in sweet and savory like chocolatbutter, honey and jam, cheese, salami and even fish. They have fruit and yoghurt. What I did miss were peanutbutter and chocolat sprinkle.

There is enough room for much people, but still you need to be on time to take your time to choose what you want to eat. It can be very crouded at 9 o'clock.

The bad things about the hotel were the cold and the noise. It can be noizy in the rooms, you can hear the neighbours talking and when they flush the toilet you can hear the water. In the hallway it was really cold, I don't think there is an heater. (This was not in the room, in the room is was nice, you can put the heater on if you want)

I also didn't like the toilet. It was very low and when I sat down, the wall made noises like it could fall down any minute. Also the shower wasn't a good one, because I couldn't hang the shower on the wall and the water came out very slow.

Altough, I think it was a great hotel.

Only go for the apartments Jun 27, 2009
The first time I rented an apartment out the back and it was very convenient and good value for money. However, the second time I rented a room, and found that quite a different experience. The hotel has no central heating, but instead some weird inverter system which goes off when you leave the room. I cannot see how a hotel without central heating can be given 3 stars. In spite of that I was kept awake by loud mechanical noises on the first night. I asked to leave, but was told I would have to pay for the days I booked. The other room was somewhat better but cold. The attitude of the reception was evidently that they don't care whether you never come back, and I won't be going back either. Bruges is a rip-off in many ways, and a pity that so many second-rate restaurants and hotels give it a bad name.
