Koblenz Train Station Mar 30, 2012
I visited Koblenz for 1 day , i had to leave my bags in the locker before heading down to centre. It was 3E for 24h (very good price comparing to some other travel destinations). But!

You must have your 3E in 1E, 2E or 50cents coins, couse that's what machine takes only. I didn't have enough and went to 2 nearby little cafes to exchange smaller coins for 1 E coin, but i was refused , and in a quite rude manner, and in one of them women behind the counter said i have to go to bank O:O

I wasn't trying to get 1 bloody euro for free for god sake!

Not very nice welcome in the new town for a tourist.

Eventually i got it from 'local' man who saw the situation while having a coffee .

Koblenz Hauptbahnhof (usually translated from German as Koblenz Central Station, short form: Koblenz Hbf) is the Hauptbahnhof for the city of Koblenz in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It is the focal point of rail transport in the Rhine-Moselle-Lahn area. It is a through station in southern Koblenz built below Fort Großfürst Konstantin and opened in 1902 in the Neustadt (new city), which was built after the demolition of the city walls in 1890. The station replaced two former stations on the Left Rhine railway, which were only 900 m apart, and the former Mosel line station. It is on the Left Rhine railway and connects to the Mosel line station the Right Rhine line and to the Lahn valley line. It is used daily by about 40,000 travelers and visitors. In the station forecourt are a bus station and a pavilion.
