So we arrived on Ko Phi Phi by boat from Krabi to a deluge of monsoon rain, we also found that accomodation is EXPENSIVE and much saught aftr but we ended up in an alright guesthouse that had been totally rebuilt after the tsunami, however it was surrounded by a lot of metal shacks where people lived who had lost everything by the waves, which was pritty bad. 2000 people died in the tiny town which was mostly flattened and so there are lots of warning signs and evacuation routes signposted.
