Know someone

OK here it is when travaling in Chad it is very important. To have someone with you that knows where they are going at all times and that speaks French!!!!! A local guide would be great. Also if the locals don't know you they will rise the prices of everything trying to get every dime out of you. Watch out for food venders some are clean some are not. Hambergers don't taste like they do in the states. They are seasoned different then they are in the states. Water only drink the bottled water nothing out of the tap. There are very few paved roads so keep that in mind when you are travaling.
