Life in Mumbai Nov 02, 2013
Travelling is my passsion and i am in MUMBAI : more i explore the city more i get surprised. Having travelled to many of the big cities in the world i find Mumbai a different and having huge contrast in life of people and events. There is always waiting in TAJ and other5 star hotels for dinner (costs around USD100 per head) and equal no. of people sleep hungry. Very charming kids go to international school branches having expensive gadgets and very charming kids beg outside local stations.
2 major communities hindus n muslims are nicely blended with each other , but slaughter each other in riots. every one here is fearful. but can hang outside local train. almost all of the suburbs are divided in east n west ( railway track in between ) and mostly one side is with muslims and other s with hindus.
mumbai is fast , u cant wait. but lives changes slowly, people are so trapped in catching 8:37 am local to go offices that they hardly have any time for themselves. suddenly city wakes up @ 11:00 pm. ..
people are cooperative, they care for each other. declined: you can c q every where you go, while boarding busses, auto rickshaws, train etc. i imagine there must be queue for cremations.
here comes the western part of mumbai, worlds one of the most expensive area and home to most of the celebrities. you forget that you are into mumbai full of garbage , poor beggers and dirty buildings.
