Knitting Factory Brooklyn Reviews
Another Brooklyn Music Venue Dec 13, 2011
I remember when the Knitting factory was in the city. I imagine rent got too high and the indie shows they usually host didn't bring in enough revenue to keep things going there, so they moved it to Williamsburg.
A large portion of the venue is the Bar. Walking into the bar, you'd have no idea a stage was in the back if they didn't have this massive window behind the bar. It looks like a normal Sports Bar.
The Stage/Show area is a decent size. Maybe fits 200 comfortably. The stage it self is small. Best for solo performers. The sound is mediocre. Just not really an exciting venue and the place gets extremely hot and humid. You really have to like the performer to want to go there.
