Kölner Zoo
Kölner Zoo Reviews
Feb 02, 2008
The Cologne Zoo is a great place to hang out in between all the overload of sightseeing. Its pretty big, with a really nice gardenlike atmosphere.
We went there at nine in the morning, just after it opens, to see the elephants being fed and bathed. I also loved the seals, and we were able to experience how they were being trained. I also loved the penguins, of course. Well, I generally loved all the animals. Of course, I have pity with most of them, especially the apes. But if you go there early in the morning its peaceful and you can watch in peace, without all the children. The best way to get there, by the way, is to go with the Schwebebahn right over the Rhine, from the Rhinepark. Nice view of the whole city. |
