Deats has a theory that most UNESCO sites are just tourist scams anyway ;) I'm not sure I agree with that, but I've seen quite a few UNESCO sites that were less than noteworthy.
Strange, I don't know then why UNESCO does not declar world heritage the Samalayuca desert in Chihuahua! It's far more impressive than this... it's like a little sahara just 10 miles south to El Paso, TX
Really, nothing much. It's a giant sand dune that moves a few feet every year. That's about it. And the whole thing looks pretty much exactly like this photo!
