Kiwi International Queen Street Hotel Auckland

The Kiwi International Hotel is right near the center of the city and very inexpensive! I stayed in a private room (with shared bathroom) for about $35 NZD and I think the shared rooms were around $20. The rooms were clean and had linens, a towel, and a sink. It seemed pretty large so I imagine they have many rooms. It is just off Queen Street and surpisingly was not too loud. The location could not have been better - it is within walking distance of all major downtown Auckland attractions such as the Sky Tower and Viaduct, many shops and restaurants too. Internet use cost around $3 for 20 minutes and there was a full-service bar and restaurant with a tv lounge area. The staff was friendly (as all kiwis are!!) and very helpful at giving me directions. I definately recommend the Kiwi International Hotel if you want to stay in the city and still have money left over to do something fun!!
