Quiet and beautiful place in a busy city Apr 19, 2011
This hotel is a good place to stay if you don't want to be in the busy center and still want to be able to reach everything easily. This hotel is not cheap, but it is worth the money. The beds are very good and the bathrooms are ok (might have some problems with a toilet which doesn't flush or a bit uncomfortable shower, but it is also not that bad). The view from the hotel rooms on higher floors is fantastic.

The hotel has a large terrace and a pool where you can rest after a busy day in the capital city of Kenya and the food is good and reasonably priced (for western standards). Including breakfast is recommended, as they have a buffet with large and tasty choice.

The hotel has its own caps which can bring you everywhere. My tip is to negotiate about the price in front. But if you want to go for the real african feeling, walk to the nearest busstop and take the city hoppa to town. From there you can go everywhere. However, be aware that it is not easy to find your way in the organisation of buslines. If you don't like to get lost (or looked at) better to take a taxi.

Overall I had a good experience in this hotel.

Only one thing, please look out for the staff when they are carrying things. As soon as they break something or make a mistake they pay for it. Unfortunately we saw that this costed one girl her whole month salary.
