Shots, meaning photo shots not alcohol shots! Do you think I'm that
alcoholic now? I didn't have any alcohol today at all. Come on, people
now think that I'm always drunk when I 'act' crazy. Kind of getting
annoying now. No not really! Keep the drunk comments coming y'all! *im
not droonk!*

I have heard so many beautiful things about Kinsale and it is only about 15 minutes away by bus from where I work. But for some reason, no matter how many times I have planned to go there, the plans just wouldn't push through.
Finally, 2 weeks ago, my friend and I made a …

I promised myself to get at least two hikes in while I was here in Ireland. Today I did the first hike. I hiked from my hotel out to a place called Charles Fort. The hike was following the bay, and was mostly flat with a bit of a grade at the end up to the fort. It was about 3 miles round trip, may…

After my trip to Cobh I decided I would head down to Kinsale, and perhaps see Desmond Castle. I knew I would be too late to get into the castle, but I at least thought I'd have a look and see what it was like! I was more than happy to drive from East to West Cork, especially as it gave me a good ch…

We left Castletownshend and headed up to Mizen Head Lighthouse; the scenery as always was great, lot's of rock cliffs and blue, blue water. After touring Mizen Head we headed into Kinsale. We decided we wanted to walk to Charles Fort but it wasn't until we were only 1…

At this point, I have seen so many beautiful places that sometimes I expect less from a new destination. How could there me more??? Ireland answers that question with a BIG "I'll show you!" God must love Ireland, that's all I can say.

i've finally managed to escape the oh-so-fascinating world of hedge fund finance, and am now decadently indulging my long-suppressed wanderlust with 15 months on the road and around the world... *note: apart from the odd review (generally of something not found in your standard guide book), this is really more just a map of my travels than a proper blog, but if you want more information on anywhere i`ve been or what i`ve been up to, send me a message and i`ll see if i can rustle something up.

When we finally arrived in Kinsale, which wasn't until about 6:00p.m., we drove around looking for a B&B to stay at for the night (or one that fit into our travel package at least). Unfortunately, all of the B&B's we were interested in were sold out for the night!!! Ahhh! We eventually did …

Today we left Dingle headed towards Cork and Blarney. We spent several hours exploring Blarney Castle before hitting Cork at evening rush hour. Eventually, we made it to Kinsale where we found a nice B&B. At dinner, a strange old drunk man hit on Shea.

We arrived in Kinsale in time for a late lunch. By then, I was
starving so we found a place right away and put in our order as quickly
as possible. The restaurant was far different from all the other
places we had been on our trip. It was more of a restaurant than a
pub, as we…

When we arrived in Ireland, we realized Piper's wallet was stolen on the plane. Piper carriers the ATM card and I carry the credit card. So we traveled without money and crossed our fingers they excepted credit. All in all we had a good trip. Things worked out and I would do it again...with cash though!

I had a good nights sleep last night. We were told that we needed to have our bags outside our doors at 7am so I packed last night. I was up at about 6:15, showed, shaved and ready to go. Breakfast is not suppose to be until 8:00, but with the number of people in our group, I decided to go up a bit…
