We visit for the second time Canada. We stayed with a friend.

I made a 12 days circuit between the US and Canada last september with my girlfriend. From Boston,MA to Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Lancaster, Philadelphia, Washington and finally NYC.

This was supposed to be a trip to visit universities in Canada and it turned into one big gigantic road trip. And hey, I go to school in Canada, so I guess things worked out.

Last may we visited our friend Dana in Kingston, Ontario. Also went for a long weekend in beautyfull Qubec City. It was our first trip with Adinda (at the time 8 months old)

Partly together with Hester's parents, we travelled around in the eastern provinces of Canada and New England. Observation results: moose count: 0, blue whale count: 2, fin-back whale count: 4, puffin count: 1, caribou count: 1, bald eagle count: 1, northern gannet count: > 300,000

We had some time to kill before our train back to Ottawa so we decided to hang at the park in front of Kingston's City Hall.  We ate hot dogs, read, and mostly watched people walking their dogs, or playing with their kids.

32 states in the US and 8 in Canada. Travelled Canada and the USA from coast to coast within five months. Travelled mostly by train, sometimes by coach. In total 33.000 km (20.000 miles). Started and ended in Toronto. Some other highlights: Montreal, Quebec, New York, Philadelpia, Chicago, Miami, New Orleans, El Paso, LA, San Fran, Yosemite, Death Valley, Vegas, Vancouver, Jasper. Experienced temperatures varying from minus 25 degrees Celsius to +30 degrees Celsius. Only shot 6000 pictures.

I was looking forward to this trip. I have not been to Canada for 10 years. My last trip and long term stay was in B.C.! I loved it! Beautiful place! Now I was curious to see what Ontario and Quebec got to offer! :-) ....to be continued
