Kingsport Vacation Guide
Kingsport, Tennessee is located on I-81 in northeastern Tennessee near the Virginia border. The Holston River flows through the city and provides power and water to several plants as well as provides fishing for recreation. The Kingsport Greenbelt trail runs through town and is a mostly paved trail along Reedy Creek and the Holston River and is popular for walking, jogging and rollerblading.
The city has many nice restaurants, both chains and locally owned as well as many hotels. Fort Henry Mall has shopping, dining and movies and there are numerous retail stores in town. The city has numerous parks in town and nearby including Bays Mountain Park on the mountain overlooking the city.
Kingsport is part of the Tri-Cities area of Tennessee and Virginia that also includes Bristol and Johnson City. The Tri-Cities airport is located about 20 minutes from town.
