The King's Head pub on King Street in the Exchange District is probably the most happening English-style pub in Winnipeg, especially on the weekends when they usually have live entertainment
However, be aware that you need to purchase a $5 membership to get in...or go as a guest of someone with a membership. If there's some sort of special music or event going on there may be an admission fee on top of the membership fee.
