King of Prussia Overview

King of Prussia is a suburb of Philadelphia located approximately 20 miles northwest of the city center. The town used to be farmland until 1963, when construction began upon the King of Prussia Mall. The mall is the source of the area's notoriety, for it is the largest mall on the East coast of the United States, and is home to over 400 stores and restaurants. Additionally, roughly 200 corporations have either regional offices or headquarters in the area. Also located just a few miles away is Valley Forge National Historic Park, which was an important camp for Patriot soldiers during the Ameread morerican Revolutionary War.
