King Kong Min Tomb Kaesong Reviews
Tomb of King Kong Min May 04, 2010
The last visit of the day touring around Kaesong: a visit to the tomb of King Kong Min.
He was the founder of the Koryo dynasty. It was rebuild in 1994.
The tomb was a twin tomb, with not only the king buried there, but also his wife. It is located in the hills surrounding Kaesong. There are several tombs in the area, but we visited this one.
The site is surrounded by trees, some of them being cherry blossom trees. There are also statues of soldiers and scholars on each side of the 2 tombs.
Perhaps it was the time of the day, early in the evening, or the fact that had been quite a long day already, I didn't found the site that much worth of a visit. But since it's give & take when it comes to visiting North Korea, it was unavoidable.
