Beautiful Lakeside Campsites Jul 05, 2008
Though this campground isn't really near anything, it's definitely worth going the extra distance. All of the sites were very private with lots of foliage. There were tent pads on some of the sites which is always nice. You can swim and fish in the lake (they have a boat launching site). The main road of the campground runs parallel to the edge of the lake with half of them being on the lake side and the other being forest side. We arrived later in the afternoon and we still got a lakefront site. All of the sites are first come first serve.
There's also a picnic site in case you are just driving by and want a nice place to eat lunch (that is, if you already passed Good Hope Lake!). Firewood is for sale at $5 for a good sized bundle.
There are clean outhouses throughout the campground and the best part is, they have recycling! I always enjoy that.
