Killin Vacation Guide
Killin is a small town in Perthshire, Scotland. Located on the South side of Loch Tay, the river Dochart forms Falls if Donchart as it meets the loch.
Close to Killin, A827 meets the A85, an important route between Glasgow and Oban in the West and Fort William (form Ben Nevis) in the North.
Killin has a tourist office, a few hostels (also a SYHA one) and B&Bs, outdoor shop, bike and kayak rent, some nice local shops and bakeries. North of Killin you can find Ben Lawers (3984 ft), the highest mountain in Perthsire, which can be climb from the nearby NTS visitors centre.

in killin we enjoyed our first lunchbreak together. feeling adventurous i tried a 'local' speciality, macarroni pie! was better than expected but every italian would probably go berzerk...
the river was beautiful and the after-lunch walk through the clan-graveyard nearby was very impressive.
