OK this place is a new favorite of mine. I recently moved to Ballard and when I saw Kickin' Boot featured in the Seattle Met magazine I had to try it out.

The first thing I liked was the asthetics of the place. As you walk in, everything inside is wood paneling and trendy. The bar wall is a pyramid of drinks backlit from a giant window behind so the amber liquids glow in the sun. A bartender climbs a sliding ladder to select things on top.

The restrooms gave me a flash back to elementary school with the half moon handwashing fountains and the powder soap dispensers.

I really went there to try the sauces that the Seattle Mag raved about and sure enough each table had a caddy with five bottles of different house sauces. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and proceeded to drown it in one sauce after another.

The prices are decent, so is the service. Great place for lunch or dinner. I would take friends there or love to have a date there. There is also an outdoor elevated balconey/patio.
