Keskvere Mois (Manor)
Keskvere Mois (Manor) Martna Reviews
Looked like the nice old days Sep 22, 2012
We drove around all day and hunted down every brown historic sign that we saw along the road. At some point we saw a sign that said Keskvere Mois and at the point not knowing what a Mois was we were also a bit curious. It turned out that a Mois was a Manor and some of them were hardly there and some were quite well kept.
The main building of the Keskvere Manor is an archaic Old Baltic modest wooden structure with crossbeam walls and a medieval mantelpiece. It was the kind of building that I really liked and even in a nice red color. The garden was quite nice and really green after the wet summer that Estonia had experience this year. It was estimated that the building was constructed in the middle of the 18th century, but it may also date back to the 17th century.
Today this building is some kind of a museum and it can be found in Martna Municipality in Läänemaa County
