Kermeri Vacation Guide
Kermeri is just west of the beaches of Jurmala and is set in the Kermeri National Park, which is full of rivers, forests and wonderful local nature (including naughty nasty bugs!)
In Kermeri itself, the town has an orthodrox church hidden away in the forest, and is a pleasent place to take a walk in. Wide streets are great for driving along. Kermeri is a very sleepy town with not much going on, so if you come here for a bit of sightseeing, forget it. This town is only ideal for hikers who want to venture out into the forests and maybe head to the coast, which is quite some distance away.
Local bus will get you to Jurmala and the trains will take you to Riga, which is a very limited service.
