Kepos Street Kitchen Sydney Reviews
Delightful Mediterranean Restaurant Jan 01, 2013
I love brunch, and now I have a new favourite place to eat it in Sydney's inner suburbs.
The Kepos Street Kitchen has just recently won an award for best cafe food from the Good Food Guide in Sydney. It's quite an honour and I would have to say I agree wholeheartedly.
The dish I finally ended up deciding on was the egg and bacon brioche roll with ksk (Kipos Street Kitchen) chili jam, roasted tomatoes and watercress for $13. But it was a touch decision, because I really wanted to try the strawberry salad with pomegranate pearls, mint and rosewater yoghurt also for $13, and ksk churros with salted caramel for $12. The churros I wanted because they were something I ate a lot of when I lived in Brazil. You know what? I think I might head there for brunch one day next week...
Sorry, this is not a blog.
KSK is well known for having a multicultural meals even though it's classed as Mediterranean. I spoke to one of the chefs in the kitchen as I was getting ready to leave and he told me he was from Israel. One the menu are meals from the Middle East, Asia, Europe and goodness knows where else.
I was keen for coffee and the coffee was great, I also tried one of their chai lattes. Yum.
There were five of us at brunch and three of us ordered what I had and the other two ordered the Churros. We all enjoyed our meals.
I can't wait to go back.
