Kentucky Down Under Apr 03, 2009
We took our 9 Year Old Grandson and he had a Blast, there is so much to do at Kentucky Down Under . We took a guided tour of the cave which takes about 1 hour. After that we sifted for Gems (See Pictures) but it wasmainly for kids. We then took a walk on the Paths and saw Dingo's, many Native Austrailian Birds. We the went to the Wool Shed were they explained all the sheep in the world and how they play a vital part. We then saw a demonstration on Sheep hurding in a field behind the Wool shed and after that we had a great lunch then took a walkabout where you can pet Kangaroos, Emus and look at Native Australian animals, then we went to Camp Corroboree, that where we were introduced to the Aboriginal culture. During the 45-minute presentation, the interpreter explained how these fascinating people adapted to their environment and how they found everything they needed from nature. We saw their tools, instruments and learned customs. We Heard the interpreter play a didgeridoo, and then tey let the kids try it, It Was Very Funny!!! We had a great time! spent about 6 hours there. The Hosts were very Knowledgable. I will probably go back again
