Kensington Park Hotel San Francisco
Kensington Park Hotel San Francisco Reviews
Sep 10, 2006Oh, what can I say about this wonderful, delightful, beautiful, classy, boutique hotel off of Union Square in San Francisco? It ended up being the highlight of my stay in this city. It's really beautiful inside; it's built in a Spanish Gothic style, and every room is decorated with Queen Anne antiques with mahogany armoires, and marble baths. The rooms aren't big, but they are awesome. I also really loved that the windows open all the way - that's so rare these days!! It's not a huge place, there are 92 rooms in total, and I really recommend trying to get a room on an upper floor facing Nob Hill; watching the fog roll in at night was quite a sight. Every evening the beautiful lobby offers free tea and sherry for everyone staying there, and there is also wireless internet access in the lobby. There's a very highly rated seafood restaurant attached to the hotel, called Farallon, but we did not eat there; it looked really cool though as far as atmosphere goes. You can often find great deals for this place on the internet. It's a delightful wonderful hotel, and really worth a stay. I honestly don't think I'd ever stay anywhere else in the city. Enjoy! **DISCLAIMER - I DID NOT TAKE THESE PICTURES, THEY ARE FROM THE KENSINGTON PARK HOTEL WEBSITE!** |
