Kennedy Hotel Rome Reviews
Close to train station Mar 15, 2008
Hotel Kennedy is located a few blocks from the Termini train station, making it an excellent home base. It was easy to find and the staff very friendly (and English speaking). Our room was clean and cozy but a little noisy with the window open. The bathroom was large and clean with a bidet and very nice shower. You keep your (rather large) room key at the front desk when you leave the hotel for the day. At first I was a little nervous, but it sure beat lugging that large, heavy keychain around all day.
Our room was on the street side and was noisy quite late the first night. The second night was much more quiet. And then we realized the first night was a Saturday night. I guess we were too tired to partake in the night life. The noise from trains was minor. Breakfast was wonderful with your choice of hot beverage including cappacino. Fresh rolls and pastries, delicious spreadable cheese, yogurt and fruit. After checking out, we could store our luggage in a room next to the front desk until our evening train departed. They also have a nice couple of rooms on the main floor with couches and magazines for just hanging out (as in waiting until your train leaves). The room was a little expensive for our tastes, at 120 Euro per night, but it was the only hotel we stayed in on our trip. We decided we wanted something nicer in Rome and we're glad we stayed here. And very glad we didn't have to take the metro or buses with our luggage. We just walked out the train station and over a couple blocks. Can't beat the location. The only problem I had (other than noise) was the shower. It was a beautiful shower with a large overhead spray plus a smaller nozzle pointing at your torso. I've never had two sprays before, so I turned them both on. Soon the bottom was flooded and about to spill over onto the floor. Later we discovered you could shower just fine if you didn't turn the nozzles on as high as they could go. Part of the Germany, Italy, Austria, Denmark - all in two weeks? travel blog |

We stayed at the Hotel Kennedy, just a few blocks from the Termini train station, super easy to find and to make metro connections. We had a nice little double room with an awesome bathroom that even had a bidet. We dropped our stuff, rested a few minutes… Just try not to look like a tourist... |
