This National Park is the smallest one in Alaska. It was founded in 1980. A good way to visit the Kenai Fjords National Park is by cruise ship. You can book trips from Seward for five, six, eight or ten hours. We booked a trip for the whole day. We got a small lunch and a dinner.
During the cruise you can see a great number of Alaskas fauna (whales, sea otters, sea lions, different birds, we have even seen a black bear...). Very impressive were the glaciers which reached the sea. I think there's a possibility to hike on the glacier, but I haven't done this. Part of the Alaska 2007 travel blog |
