Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo Reviews
Location Only Feb 01, 2009
This is a good hotel for location only.
The rooms are severly dated even after "extensive renovations" - and this was on the Executive Floor! Service is average and nothing more. The age of the hotel and the condition mean that they do not attract the best staff. Largely the hotel is popular with tourist groups as it is a stop on the Airport Bus route and conveniently located - this translates to a lot of noise and large groups in the lobby at virtually all times. Recommended hotels in Tokyo would be: The Ritz Carlton or the Westin Ebisu. For a more traditional option at about half the cost would be the Imperial Hotel (small, dark rooms but exceptional service!) |

Would go back tomorrow Apr 11, 2008
A huge hotel in a great location. If I went to Tokyo again I would definately stay there. Right next to the tube and only a short walk to the train station, you can walk via an underground passage too if it's raining.
Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. You can get meals for about £5 - £10 in the local restaurants but the hotel meals are £50 so it is expensive! Just make sure you eat out and you'll be ok. Rooms are lovely, beds comfy and really clean. So much stuff in room, they provided hair bobbles, razors, toothbrush, toothpaste, cotton wool, ear buds, slippers, dressing gown, safe etc. We were on the 26th floor in the south tower and the views over Toyko were amazing. Huge window so you can lay in bed and look out. Hotel has shops inside, including small supermarket which sells lots of good food, bento box meals, salads and snacks etc which are all really cheap. Staff helpful and always happy. So huge, almost got lost in the lobby. I can't recommend this hotel enough, just loved it! Part of the Japan April 2008 travel blog |

Keio Plaza Hotel - again, a well sized hotel room, similar to a Sheraton in the U.S. In the lobby, they had several desplays of Chirimen dolls - intricately made cloth dolls in beautiful bright colors. After a quick rest, we headed into the city to explore… Headed to Tokyo - lots of palaces, temples and mochi! |
