Kefalonia was my first visit to Greece.It was a beautiful, unspoilt,interesting island! With fabulous scenery, amazing beaches, delicious food,quaint mountain villages, friendly people.
I was based in Skala,on the south coast.It has a long,uncrowded beach (even in July!),excellent restaurants & some shops.
The weather in July was too hot for me(about 39 degrees) & this was below average for the time of year!I also took some boat trips to other islands such as Ithaka, Lefkas & Meganissi.
