Kayu Manis at the Best Western

The Kayu Manis restaurant is in the Best Western Condotel in New Kuta. The restaurant is open from 6:30 am to 11:00 pm, and also offers room service. Asri and I ate here each morning for the free breakfast that was included with our room, although we never ate here for any other paid meals. The breakfast was good, but not nearly as good as the breakfast at the Mercure hotel. And after a few days eating here for breakfast, the same selections were kind of getting monotonous. They have a mix of Indonesian and western foods, a modest selection of breads and pastries, and waffles/pancakes. The waffles were always cold, so I had to run them through the toaster. Probably the best thing I can say about the breakfast is that they did have a cook to make your eggs as you wanted them. But since it was free, I guess I can’t complain too much. We usually tried to sit outside on the terrace because of the view of the pool and ocean.
