I had a fabulous day kayaking in a lagoon in mexico and felt completely safe until later when I had dinner at the hotel which overlooked the lagoon, to my amazement I saw many alligators spying on me from the water. Approach with caution ask the locals if the lagoon is safe before you go in, nobody told me they were lurking there! I look at kayaking differently now!
