Kavalir Hotel Prague

The Hotel Kavalir is ideal if you are on a business trip, but first-time visitors of Prague should beware! The hotel is located about 20 minutes west of the city on a busy street, away from the touristy areas. There seemed to be only a few bars and restaurants in the area. There is a stop for both cable cars and buses directly in front of the building which will take you into the city. Guests with street-facing rooms should beware of the loud noise created by the traffic, especially in the summer when you probably want the windows open. The complementary breakfast was good, but I did not find the hotel staff very friendly. Finally, beware of the automatic light in the bathroom! It tends to switch off while you are in the shower, forcing you to open the shower door in the dark to get it back on again!
