Katathani Beach Resort Hotel Phuket

Stayed in bangkok for 3 nights then came down here for a week in the sun and to do absolutely nothing but relax. I got that and so much more.

Stayed in the new wing of the hotel slightly off the beach but it took about 15 seconds to get to the beach.

booked a spa package which included a spa treatment at the sixth sense spa which was awesome. My girlfriend didnt want hers so I gladly booked a second trip there as well.

The hotel rooms are lovely with water features in them and little balconies to relax and read a book all day long.

This hotel has loads of pools and loungers never a need to get up at stupid o clock and get the towels out etc.

The food is amazing also however the small restuarants that line the road loading out of Kata Noi are just as good if not better than the hotel food and much cheaper.

However def have a meal at the fishermans whartf rest at hotel - its outdoor and you can watch the sun go down on another relaxing day - its quite romantic really and scores some points with your other half.

Amenties there are massage ladies on the beach offering a massage for 300 bht (around 6 quid) and this lasts for one hour really good value just make sure you rem they lace you with oil all over so chances are youll prob get burned afterwards.

The beach at Kata Noi is excellent and clean as a whisle as well. We did not venture too far from our hotel and Kata Noi, Kata beach is 2 mins in a taxi and good night life there and different food options so worth a visit.

Overall this hotel is superb and I would not hesitate to book here again. Lovely place to relax and unwind from busy working life.

One thing to watch is small insects (small lizards) hanging off the hotel ceilings and they go near your door to get close to the light. So just scare them off before you open your door otherwise if you get them in the room i doubt youll get them out, esp the speed of them.

my girlfriend thought it was funny to tell me one had come in the room and I spend an hour looking for him before she told me it was a joke - not funny woman!!

However dont be put off by this - after all the hotel was built where they used to live so we cant begrude a few keen and hungry lizards you know. Its there planet as well as ours.
