I stayed at Kata Thani Phuket Beach Resort 2 years ago and really loved it. I didn't select this hotel myself but I was very happy with it. It is not cheap but it is worth it. It's a really nice place to stay :)
Kata Thani Phuket Beach Resort's so nice hotel with a quiet stretch of beach.(Kata Thani has the exclusivity usage of the entire Kata Noi Beach) and location’s a bit far from Patong and not near a lot of action or nightlife but it was easy to get a tuk tuk to Patong. Kata, Karon Beach and Phuket Town.It is about an 8 minute walk from the Katathani to Kata and about 20 minutes to Patong Beach by tuk tuk/ taxi.

Checked out of Le Meridien, we booked a driver to take us to Phuket Airport, costs 1,500baht ($71). This is the only driver who came, not on time, but EARLY! So we tipped him an additional 100baht.
