Kastani 5 Apartment Vienna Reviews
Luxurious but Middle-Priced Studio Apartment in Vienna Jul 25, 2010
While traveling, I usually prefer staying in hostels as you get to mingle around with people, and the rates are cheap. But this time round, I thought I spend a bit more and stayed in a studio apartment.
The place was amazing! A very quiet neighbourhood of District 3, yet it's just a few stops to the city centre. The tram no. 71 will bring you to Schwarzenbergplatz, where you can take connecting trams to either Karlsplatz, Stephanplatz, or even places like the Rathaus and the University!
There's a kitchen with a working stove, dish washer, washing machine, fridge and microwave! Supermarkets are one of the places I like to visit as well when traveling, and SPAR and BILLA were my two faves when in Europe!
The bedroom was a typical IKEA showroom, so you can be assured that you'll get a good night's rest!
The only problem I had with the apartment was the spiral staircase. It was 4 storeys up, and I had to drag my heavy suitcase during one of the city's hottest season yet. The kitchen, while may be fully furnished, may not be fully equipped with cooking ingredients such as oil, salt, sugar or pepper etc. If you're staying short term, you may still need to buy these items to cook.
Otherwise, ICH LIEBE WIEN!
