Very nice architecture on a very nice square Jul 22, 2008
The Saint Kasimir church is a little of the very center of the old town, actually just inside the new part of Warsaw, but sure worth a visit. You can't enter unless you made an appointment, but the square on which the building is standing, and the architecture itself is very nice.
This Roman Catholic construction was originally a rich family's residence, but later the queen decided that it should become a church, and so it did. During the second world war, before it was destroyed, it served as a hospital. Today, it is beautifully rebuild. Part of the Poland 2008 travel blog |
