Beautiful mountain retreat Jul 01, 2008

For those who want a great place to stay in Imlil, before starting a walk in the Mountains around the Toubkal, this is the place to stay. Nice rooms, some with terrace and bath, other in the Tower, or in the main building, each with their little touch. You take the breakfast on the roof terrace, with view on the Mountains, in the middle of a beautiful nature. Beautiful gardens also.

When arriving at Imlil, the hotel has a small office in the village, from
where it is a ten minute walk, with a donkey taking your luggage. So no
carrying ;)
At the hotel, staff takes great care of you, and can organize many
different trips and walks for you.

Service is great, and the food is delicious!

One more thing worth of noting, this Kasbah has been renovated with the
help of a European organization, promoting the development of the village.

It's just around an hour, maybe and hour and a half driving. From there you can go hiking in any of the surrounding mountains. I went for the Toubkal itself, great climb, in two days (first day from the kasbah to a first camp at 3200m, second day to the summit)
