Welcome to the Karibu Inn! This hotel has a good location near the old Zanzibar fort and the House of Wonders. The hotel is basic, but very affordable. The lobby has some relexing couches and a reception with helpfull staff. Beware of the loundry service though, I lost a nice polo shirt and got some `recoloured` items back.
Our room was one of the better rooms with a good double bed and enough space. Shower and toilet were in order. The room was the only with a view to the sea. If you can, do try to make a reservation for room 33! Part of the Southern Africa 2008 travel blog |

I slept most of the way on the 2.5hr trip. When we ar…Karibu Inn just off Kenyatta St (US$15pp/night in a dorm). As it was too early to check in we dumped our bags into a mouldy, musty, dark room on the ground floor. Most people cracked the shits at this point and refused to stay… NYE on the Spice Island |
