Karaj was a small city close to Tehran hosting some of people working in Tehran. But now it is a big city. Karaj is connected to Tehran via an express way with length of 30 km, plus two other roads. Karaj is easily acceptable from Tehran. On the other hand as it is located in the way to the Caspian Sea, this is a common way for travelers.
Karaj has a colder weather compared to Tehran, due to many gardens in this area. This made it a good place for summer holidays.
