Mark and I spent 2 weeks in Thailand in July 2008 - 4 nights/ 3 days in the craziness of Bangkok, and 9 nights at the beach in Hua Hin to relax and get some sun. This is my fifth time in Thailand - 4th in Bangkok, and 2nd in Hua Hin, but I love the country and the people, so it's hard to stay away! A highly recommended vacation spot.
** WORK IN PROGRESS! **

This city is pretty close to Bangkok. I stayed here for around one and a half days. It’s a small city when compared with Bangkok but to look at the places of interest you would at least need a bike or a car.
The thing which first comes to mind is the River Kwai, inspired by the movie the bridge…

I signed up for a one-day tour which took me and a group of 5 others to nearby Erawan waterfall as well. It was all okay, though definitely interesting to …

Kanchanaburi, home to the river Kwai
and it's famous bridge.
We wanted to make sure that we knew all
about the history side of Kanchanaburi before we actually saw the
bridge. The first place we walked past on our walk round town was the
WW2 cemetery which seemed a good place to start. The …
